Continuous cover drill

Encourages the athletes to always stay ready after attacking and to recover from a block.

Set up

# of players : 3-6 players (1 coach and 2 players minimum)
Ideal : 4 players
Equipment : 4-6 balls
Average duration : 10-20 minutes

Description

  • 2 players are positioned in a normal sideout position.
  • The coach is on the other side of the net. He/She throws the ball at the players that must pass, set and attack as a normal game.
  • After the hit, the coach quickly throws another ball. The players must communicate and plays the ball again.
  • Repeat 3-4 times in a row and then pause.
